Since 2002 the theme of the Mission to Seafarers Victoria (MTSV) art prize has been “The Relationship Between Humanity and the Sea”.

As 2010 has been nominated as the Year of the Seafarer*, the MTSV Art Prize Committee invites artists to respond to the theme:

“The Relationship Between Humanity and the Sea, 2010 International Year of the Seafarer’

* The Council of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO theme for World Maritime Day "2010: Year of the Seafarer” )

The ANL Art Prize & Exhibition offers to the viewing public a visual expression of maritime themes; seafaring, ships and shipping and is a collaborative exercise between the not for profit sector and the arts community and is made possible with thanks to the event sponsors.
