Venue Hire

717 Flinders Street offers a unique venue for private and corporate seminars and events. The enchanting arts and crafts styled building is a mystery only until you have walked through the doors. If you are looking for something different with easy access to public transport and a stones throw from the CBD call the Mission to discuss your next event.

The Celia Little Boardroom


Is your boardroom feeling stuffy and distracting? The Celia Little room offers a great alternative and seats 60 people for a seminar equipped with AV projector and whiteboard.

Suitable also for the most elegant of dinners, the room seats 50 people for a sit down dining event and your chef or caterer has easy access to a commercial kitchen for food preparation.

The Celia Little room opens up onto a Spanish style courtyard for guests to stretch their legs during intervals and lunch breaks or to enjoy as an extension to the function room for drinks and canapés .

Catering for your functions may be arranged by the MTSV and BYO catering is allowed.

Booking Fee full day $550 or half day $330 prices inc. GST
Day rate is reduced if your booking is for three or more days
Hire of AV projector & Whiteboard $50 per day
Functions running past 10pm will incur an additional charge of $100 per hour

The Norla Dome


This room is a feature of the heritage building designed originally as a gymnasium for seafarers and is now available for corporate and private functions, exhibitions and public events.

Booking Fee Full day $550 or half day $330

Artists interested in hiring the Norla Dome for an exhibition, please contact the MTSV to discuss hire fee based on individual submissions.

The St Peter the Mariner Chapel


Open for daily mediation and prayer, the chapel lends itself to boutique weddings and other celebrations, comfortably seating 80 guests. The Chapel opens onto the court yard and rear access opens onto the Yarra River opposite Seafarers Bridge leading into the convention centre.

Booking Fee for the Chapel $550

Book the BBQ and secure a great spot in the court yard for your next informal group gathering $150 with access to the seafarers club bar and includes gas for the BBQ.
